Cary Basement Remodel

This residence in Cary recently underwent a significant transformation with a basement remodel to create a more useful family living space. The original layout with its fireplace wall feature created a stark space that didn’t meet the family’s lifestyle. The modern update dramatically transformed the basement’s functionality, creating a warm and welcoming living space to host friends and family for fun gatherings.

Andersen Residence

This lovely residence in the Governor’s Club community in Chapel Hill, N.C. recently underwent a significant transformation that demonstrates the beauty and importance of light in our lives. The homeowners described it as a “1990s cherry wood era that was gorgeous for its time, but in drastic need of more light.”

Poor sightlines between the family room and kitchen and an overwhelming stone chimney caused the living space to be extremely dark. It simply did not fit into the family’s lifestyle needs anymore.

Light now floods in to dramatically change the mood of the family’s favorite living area. The kitchen transformation is equally striking, reconfiguring space, improving lighting and adding more livable area for friends and family to gather. The homeowners refer to this remodeling project as providing “light therapy” for the family, illuminating the space where they spend 90% of their time.

Wilson

This whole-house remodel offered a modern update to a Cary residence that was originally built based on trends of the mid-1990s. The owners chose to remodel thanks to a great location in Preston Estates perfect for raising their two children. Changes included removing an oversize stone fireplace and reconfiguring the ‘chopped up’ floor layout. A wide open floor plan and natural lighting bring new life back to this residence.
