We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by preparing monthly financial statements, managing accounts receivable, and reconciling job costs.

Job Description:
The Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, effective management of accounts receivable, and reconciliation of job costs. This role will require a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Financial Statements:
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Identify and investigate any variances or discrepancies in financial reports.

2. Accounts Receivable Management:
• Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and credit risk assessment.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues.

3. Job Cost Reconciliation:
• Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to reconcile job costs against budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain accurate records of job costs and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Investigate and report on variances between estimated and actual job costs.

4. General Accounting Support:
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Help with other accounting and finance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification or progress towards it is a plus.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including financial statement preparation, accounts receivable, and job cost reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or equivalent).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
