Fully Customized: You Dream It, We Can Build It

There is a category of builder that will show you a portfolio of plans and ask you to pick one.
There is another that will let you choose a plan and then swap the countertops. Neither of those
is what we do.
Fully customized means what it sounds like. You bring the idea. We build it.
A north-facing art studio with a twenty-two foot vaulted ceiling, painted black to kill the glare, so
a client could finally paint in the light she had been chasing for years. A wine cellar. A home that
opens completely to the outdoors because the family lives on the porch nine months a year.
Two offices, because two people work from home now and neither one is giving up the good
room. A guest wing built for aging parents before anyone in the family wants to say the words
out loud.

We have built these. We have built stranger and more specific things than these, because the
whole point of a custom home is that it fits one family and no one else.
There is exactly one limit, and we will be honest about it up front: it has to be in code. North
Carolina's building code exists to keep the people inside your home safe, and we will not build
around it, over it, or quietly through it. If an idea cannot be done safely and legally, we will tell
you, and then we will work with you to find the version of that idea that can.

In our experience, that constraint has almost never killed a client's dream. What it does is force
a better conversation. Some of the most interesting solutions we have ever engineered came
out of a moment where the first answer was no and the second answer was what if we did it this
way instead.
